Terms of service

Last updated: 2026-05-11

These terms govern how we work with you — what to expect when you book, order or request catering. We have tried to keep them short and clear. Anything you’d like us to explain? Just get in touch.

1. General

These terms apply when you book a table, order takeaway or delivery, or request catering from Mae Thai Wok via the website maethaiwok.se, our chat, by phone or in one of our restaurants. By placing an order you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.

Questions? Contact us at support@maethaiwok.se or +46 76 337 25 24.

2. Orders and confirmation

An order is binding for you once submitted, and binding for us once you have received a confirmation by email, SMS or in chat. For catering, the number of guests, date, time and delivery method are considered confirmed once you have received our confirmation email.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order if the information is incomplete, if we suspect misuse, or if we cannot deliver at the requested time — in such cases any payment is refunded in full.

3. Prices and payment

All prices on the website include Swedish VAT unless stated otherwise. Catering package prices are listed per person, excluding VAT, since they are typically purchased by companies — VAT is added on the invoice.

Payment is taken in the restaurant, by invoice (companies) or via our delivery partners' payment solutions. For catering, any delivery fee is confirmed before the order, and chafing-dish service is charged at 500 SEK/hour.

4. Catering — minimum order and cancellation

The minimum catering order is 8 guests. Orders should normally be placed at least 48 hours in advance, or for large events (50+ guests) and chafing-dish service at least one week in advance.

Cancellation or change in guest count:

  • More than 72 hours before delivery — free of charge.
  • 72–24 hours before — 50% of the order value is charged.
  • Less than 24 hours before delivery — the full order is charged.

5. Delivery and pickup

Home delivery is available across Greater Stockholm. The delivery fee is calculated based on distance and confirmed before the order. We deliver food hot and ready to serve, but cannot guarantee minute precision — allow ±15 minutes around the agreed time.

For pickup, you receive time and location in the confirmation email. You are responsible for transport and temperature handling from the restaurant to your guests.

6. Allergies and special diets

We do our best to accommodate allergies and special diets. Always state all allergies in your form, or tell the staff in person when booking a table. Despite our routines we cannot guarantee that the food is entirely free from traces of allergens — our kitchens handle peanuts, tree nuts, gluten, fish, shellfish, eggs, dairy, soy and sesame, among others.

If you have a severe allergy, contact the restaurant directly before ordering so we can go through the options together.

7. Complaints and claims

If something is wrong with your order, contact us as soon as you notice it — ideally within 24 hours. The sooner we know, the better we can resolve it. Email support@maethaiwok.se with your order number and a short description, ideally with photos.

We comply with the Swedish Consumer Sales Act and Consumer Services Act. If we don't reach an agreement, you as a private individual can refer the matter to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).

8. Right of withdrawal

Fresh food prepared to order is exempt from the right of withdrawal under the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (goods that can deteriorate quickly or have a short shelf life). This means a confirmed food or catering order normally cannot be withdrawn under the 14-day rule. The cancellation terms under section 4 apply instead.

9. Limitation of liability

We are responsible for the food meeting the promised quality, being delivered within reasonable time and meeting any agreed specifications. Our liability is limited to the value of the order in question. We are not liable for indirect damages such as loss of income, delayed events or similar, beyond what follows from mandatory consumer law.

10. Disputes and applicable law

Swedish law applies to these terms. Disputes should primarily be resolved through dialogue between us. If we don't reach an agreement, the dispute is settled by a general court with Stockholm District Court as the court of first instance, or via the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) if you are a private individual.
